Medication Blister Packs (Dosset boxes)

If your family member is no longer able to safely take their prescribed medication (e.g. memory issues or manual dexterity problems) then they may benefit from having their medication dispensed in a pre-filled blister pack, known as a dosset box, at no cost to the patient.

Wanstead Pharmacy has been dispensing dosset boxes for our more vulnerable patients for over 15 years. If you live in the Redbridge area, we may be able to take you or a loved one on as a new dosset patient. Dossets are dispensed on a 4 weekly basis and are automatically ordered in perpetuity from Wanstead Pharmacy, so the patient does not need to request their medication themselves.

Please note that we are ONLY able to dispense your medication as a dosset box if your GP surgery provides your prescriptions as weekly prescriptions. We are also not able to make any changes to existing dossets once they have been dispensed. 

In order to get a prescription set up as a dosset box, please first contact your GP surgery and ask them to provide your prescriptions in a dosset (weekly) format. Then you need to set Wanstead Pharmacy as your nominated pharmacy, which you can do in branch or contact us via phone or email, along with your intention to set up a dosset box.
